Covid Creativity

Adversity, suffering and generally shitty times often inspires some of the best art. Present times being no exception. The Covid chaos has led to the development of some pretty awesome creative work. Here is a round up of some of my faves.

Luke John Matthew Arnold describes himself as a name hog and a multi-disciplinary visual artist and illustrator. He creates art that gives tough ideas a sunnier visual representation. Direct and unfiltered, I just love his brutally honest, playfully beautiful style.

CB Hoyo self-taught artist who uses his iconic style, authentic tone and sense of humour to raise awareness of big issues and call out the “fakeness” in society. His artwork is tattooed on many humans, which is a sure sign he is making good stuff. Go browse his work for a solid reality check.

Henn Kim is an illustrator from South Korea who is known for her black and white drawings which she describes as "beautiful dark twisted fantasies”.

I love the way she communicates big ideas in a whimsical, surreal and almost poetic style. Her illustrations always lead you down a bit of rabbit hole causing you to stop and take a moment to contemplate the bigger picture.

From a background in Graphic Design and Fashion, Daniel quickly made a name for himself in the illustration world with his iconically bold and bright vector creations.

I am a huge fan of his illustrative style and just love the typographic work his has been exploring over this past Covid fuelled week!
